Greetings from the desk of Santa himself!!
I am so glad that you are reading this and am happy to tell you about Mrs Claus and myself! This crazy adventure started for us about 10 years ago.
We owned a costume rental shop so we had access to Santa suits. I was asked to dress up as Santa for someone in town that had her grandchildren coming over for Christmas. Then I volunteered to help with a town Christmas fundraiser dressed as Santa for a couple of years. All these events using our rental suits and fake beard sets!!! One day I was talking to a fellow actor friend of mine and he said he was going to Santa school that fall. He was going to be a professional Santa! I laughed at the thought that there was actually a Santa school. He told me to check it out online. Well to make a long story short, I graduated with him and a whole class full of Santas and Mrs. Claus’s!!
I graduated from “The Victor Nevada Santa School “ in the fall of 2015. At that point, I had no idea of how to market myself so I got myself an agent. She got me the role as the Santa for the “Market Collective “ in downtown Calgary and a few other appearances. By the second year, I decided that I would do the marketing myself. It was a steep learning curve with a mistake or two but it caught on. My wonderful wife was very supportive and being an award-winning seamstress and designer, she soon had me in fancy custom suits!!
By the third year of marketing, God blessed us with a contract for the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel!! By now my wife had got her interest peaked to be my Mrs. Claus. Soon to follow was a contract with The Festival of Trees in Red Deer.
At the same time doing personal visits, school appearances, and various other corporate appearances!!
We are now into our ninth year working as Santa and Mrs. Claus, spreading Love, Joy, and Hope all year round!! Of course, our busiest time is from mid-November to the end of December but we are ready to spread cheer all year.
Mrs. Claus enjoys doing crafts with children of all ages as well as reading Christmas bedtime stories. I really enjoy skating and this seems like a great attraction especially with the younger ones. We both enjoy people and love celebrating Christmas with them.
The birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago is the reason Santa and Mrs. Claus love to celebrate. Besides, we have too much joy, love, and hope to keep it all to ourselves!!
